A Weekend of Firsts!

The boys first campfire. Monkey helped to collect wood.
Monkey's first S'More.
Monkey and Moose's first visit to Papa's vinyard.
Our first long vacation at Grammy and Papa's house.
Monkey's first taste of being a real country boy.

We had such a great week up at my mom and dad's house in New London. Monkey could not get enough of playing outside, digging in the sand, going for walks and trips to Menards. May-May loved being held all week and all the fresh air.

May-May's Baptism

Whenever you plan a party for outside you are taking a risk! The day before the baptism The Weather Channel said it was going to rain on Sunday. So, we clear out our living room and set up the table and chairs to make sure all 50 people will fit and yes they would. Then the next morning we were happy to see that it wasn't going to rain and it would be sunny all day. So, we (when I say we and I am talking about physical labor I will rarley mean me) moved all the tables and chairs to the front yard. Then as Moose is walking on the grass to set up he realizes that our front yard is not really a yard but a bog, thanks to our over zealous sprinkler system. So, then we (Moose and my sister) move everything to our back parking lot. Yes, we had a baptismal luncheon in our parking lot. However we made it look really pretty with centerpieces and flowers. It was a short party ( how was I supposed to know Brett Farve would be playing for the Jets which was on TV) but a lot of fun. Monkey played all day!! He loved playing with his cousins and friends. He also liked digging the ice out of all the coolers. We figured out he ate three sugar cookies and a piece of cake, not bad for a kid who's parents don't give him any sweets. My sister and brother were May-May's Godparents.
